Kimi K3 holds a million tokens at one flat rate

2026/09/08

Moonshot lists kimi-k3 with a context window of 1,048,576 tokens[1]. Per million tokens it is $3 for input that misses the cache, $0.30 for input that hits it, and $15 for output[1].

Those rates hold across the whole window[1]. Moonshot publishes no threshold above which a long prompt is priced differently, so a 900k token request costs the same per token as a short one[1].

That puts it on the same side as Claude, and against OpenAI, xAI, Google and Alibaba, all of which raise the rate once a prompt passes a set length.

The other models on the same list are Kimi K2.7 Code, for coding, and Kimi K2.6[1].
